Francisco Gallardo del Puerto and his research team presented their latest study entitled English vowel identification accuracy and phonetic distance effects in EFL and CLIL schoolchildren at the 42nd International Conference of the Spanish Association of Applied Linguistics (AESLA), held from April 2 to 4 at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in Palma.

The presentation took place on Wednesday, April 2, as part of the Language Acquisition panel—one of the conference’s core thematic strands.

This year’s edition of AESLA, held under the motto Transforming Language Acquisition and Communication in a Multilingual and Digitalized World, brought together leading experts to explore current trends and innovations in applied linguistics across increasingly digital and multilingual learning environments.
