Lucila Pérez Fernández holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Málaga, and her dissertation was awarded Cum Laude. In addition, she holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Vigo), BA in Audiovisual Communication (University of Salamanca), Postgraduate certificate in Specialized Translation (University of Córdoba), MA in Diplomacy and International Relations (Spanish Diplomatic School), MA in Medical and Healthcare Translation (Universitat Jaume I), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (University of Bedfordshire), Postgraduate course in digital learning (University of Cantabria), Postgraduate certificate in Teacher Training for Secondary Education in the speciality of foreign languages (University of Vigo), and MA in English Language Teaching and Acquisition in Multilingual Contexts.
She has extensive experience teaching foreign languages at different levels, including secondary education, the Official School of Languages, and universities.Throughout her career, she has taught in various countries, enriching her expertise in different linguistic and cultural contexts. Apart from Spanish universities, her university teaching experience includes roles at Fairfield University (USA) and Université Rennes 2 (France). At the secondary level, she has taught in both the United Kingdom and Spain.
Currently, Lucila specializes in teaching English as a foreign language, focusing on subjects like Development of Speaking and Writing Skills in Contexts of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in Bilingual Contexts, and English Language and its Didactics for the in the Early Childhood Education and Primary Education Teaching programs.
Her main research interests include Foreign language learning and teaching and audiovisual translation.
