Pedro Humánez-Berral is a PhD student supervised by Francisco Gallardo del Puerto and Esther Gómez Lacabex at the University of Cantabria. He holds two BA in English Studies and Translation and Interpreting and an MA in Education Training for Secondary and Language Teachers at the University of Cordoba. He received a predoctoral research grant (FPI) from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. His PhD dissertation focuses on attitudes towards English pronunciation in CLIL and non-CLIL contexts.

Pedro has taught English phonetics and foreign language acquisition undergraduate courses in the Early Childhood Education and Primary Education Teaching degrees. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland).

His main research interests are second language acquisition in CLIL and EMI contexts, English pronunciation teaching and learning, and affective factors in language learning.
